Treatment of arthritis

Programme designed to effectively treat arthritis

Osteoarthritis and spondylosis are among the most common degenerative musculoskeletal conditions, causing severe pain and limited mobility for those affected and a significant financial burden for society. The incidence of the disease increases with age, affecting between a third and a quarter of people over 65.

The disease mainly affects the weight-bearing joints of the lower limbs, the knees and hips, and the small joints of the hands and spine.

The disease is degenerative in nature, but secondary inflammatory processes can also occur as a complication, in which case the pain is significantly increased.

The initial symptom of arthrosis is pain, which is occasional at first but later becomes permanent. Pain increases with movement and exertion, decreases at rest, but persists for hours after increased physical activity.

If you are a foreign national or have Hungarian social insurance but are not eligible for NEAK-subsidised treatment (for example, if you exceed 2×15 eligible sessions per year), you can take advantage of one of the Special Therapy Cures.
