Programme designed to effectively treat ankylosing spondylitis

Ankylosing spondylitis is a hereditary, inflammatory disease that leads to progressively more severe mobility impairment over the years. During the course of the disease, the joints and ligaments between the vertebrae gradually become loose and the entire spinal column becomes fused. Our medicinal water and mud have anti-inflammatory properties and, combined with special exercises and massage, help to reduce the mobility restrictions of the spine.

Treatment day 1:

thermal bath (30 minutes)
mud packing (20 minutes)
underwater jet massage or dry therapeutic massage (15 min)
individual dry gymnastics, special breathing gymnastics (30 min)

Treatment day 2:

thermal bath (30 minutes)
underwater gymnastics (30 min)
mud pack (20 minutes) or electrotherapy (15 minutes)
underwater jet massage or dry therapeutic massage (15 min)

Treatment day 3:

thermal bath (30 minutes)
mud packing (20 minutes)
underwater jet massage or dry therapeutic massage (15 min)
individual dry gymnastics, special breathing gymnastics (30 min)

Treatment day 4:

thermal bath (30 minutes)
underwater gymnastics (30 min)
mud pack (20 minutes) or electrotherapy (15 minutes)
underwater jet massage or dry therapeutic massage (15 min)

Treatment day 5:

thermal bath (30 minutes)
mud packing (20 minutes)
underwater jet massage or dry therapeutic massage (15 min)

Fees for special health treatments

The programme is drawn up on the spot, based on the advice of a specialist.

Treatments are available from Monday to Friday. The special treatments include a 30-minute medical massage. If you are a foreign national or have Hungarian social insurance but are not eligible for NEAK-subsidised treatment (for example, if you exceed 2×15 eligible sessions per year), you can take advantage of one of the Special Therapy Cures.
