Hortobágy

Pusztai Zoo – Hortobágy

Hortobágy Pusztai Zoo offers a unique opportunity to learn about the old Hungarian domestic animal breeds of the Carpathian Basin.
The zoo is located in the Hortobágy National Park, which was established in 1973 and is now a World Heritage Site.
The zoo exhibits Transylvanian bald-necked hens, Parlagian goats and donkeys, raccas and mangalica, Hutsul horses, Hungarian grey cattle, domestic buffaloes, and many other domestic animals.
