MUNKÁCSY EXHIBITION
The 180th anniversary of the birth of Mihály Munkácsy, the world-famous Hungarian painter. and 125th anniversary of his death. anniversary and of course the 100th anniversary of the thermal water of Hajdúszoboszló, 2025. Munkácsy exhibition opened in Hajdúszoboszló from 21 March.
Thanks to this fantastic exhibition, for more than half a year, until 2025. until 28 September, you can admire nearly 80 works by the world-famous painter at the city’s Cultural Centre. The works of the exhibition were brought to our Spa Town thanks to the private collector Imre Pákh, the Munkácsy Foundation and the Máté Kovács Municipal Cultural Centre and Library.

The István Bocskai Museum is hosting exciting events on the occasion of the Night of Museums. During the evening, a new temporary exhibition will tell the story of the discovery of medicinal water 100 years ago, enhanced by fiery and aqueous chemistry experiments in the museum garden.

On 1 July, the Hajdúszoboszló bathing complex offers an exciting, experience-filled bathing experience for guests on the occasion of the Night of Beaches. A romantic, special bathing experience offers a unique atmosphere that will make your summer evening unforgettable.
From 21:00 to 24:00, you can enjoy a musical bathing and laser show on the Traditional beach area.

The Szoboszló Folk Weekend, a festival of folk music and folk art, will be held in Hajdúszoboszló again this year. 44th Kösely Cup & Horse Festival

The Kösely Cup, one of the most prestigious horse shows in the region, August 1-3. is waiting for the interested visitors. Since 1981, the event has been commemorating our Hajdú ancestors on horseback and the Hajdú traditions. In addition to the competition, the event will also feature a spectacular programme, local producers’ delicacies, a craft fair and a dance hall. Our aim is to promote the Hungarian horse breeds and equestrian culture, and to strengthen the national consciousness. The event offers great fun for the whole family.

The event will be hosted at the Hajdúszoboszló sports airfield, where party atmosphere, family programmes and other entertainment events will ensure relaxation.
